Founder & Chief Executive Officer

As founder and CEO of Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Kasavana guides the strategic direction of the company, oversees capital investment and sales, development activities across various countries and transaction types, and leads all other significant corporate initiatives, personnel matters, financial oversight and day to day operational matters for the business. Mr. Kasavana founded PTI with a focus on transparent, mutually beneficial transactions and business with its customers, landlords, wireless site developers, owners, and owners of infrastructure and the communities PTI does business in as well as the development of a scalable platform to own and operate wireless infrastructure across multiple international markets and product classes. 

Prior to founding Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Kasavana was Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions for Global Tower Partners from 2006 to 2013.  In that role, he was responsible for overseeing all mergers and acquisitions conducted in both the United States and Latin America, including the negotiation, closing, and integration of the acquisitions of thousands of towers and other wireless infrastructure. During his tenure, he played a key role in the growth of the company and oversaw more than $1.5 billion deployed towards the acquisition of wireless infrastructure.

Prior to GTP, Mr. Kasavana worked at Ernst & Young, LLP in auditing (1998-2004) where he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant and transaction advisory services (2004-2006). He specialized in providing expertise to clients in the areas of technology, wireless infrastructure, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

Mr. Kasavana graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Executive Chairman

As Phoenix Tower International’s executive chairman and a member of the board of directors, Mr. Culver advises the CEO and board in all strategic mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. Mr. Culver was previously the general counsel and senior legal advisor for Global Tower Partners from the time of its founding to its sale. Mr. Culver, along with Mr. Kasavana and other GTP team members, completed multiple bank and bond financings and strategic M&A. Furthermore, Mr. Culver and Mr. Kasavana oversaw the international expansion of GTP. Prior to his appointment at GTP, Mr. Culver was a partner in the real estate department of Edwards & Angell, LLP.

Mr. Culver is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Macalester College. He is a licensed attorney in New York and Massachusetts.

Mr. Bremer previously held several executive positions at Discovery Inc. from 2007 to 2019, including EVP Corporate Finance, CFO International, and CFO/COO Latin America. During his tenure he contributed to the company’s 2008 IPO, growing international EBITDA to over $1 billion, and the $15 billion acquisition and integration of Scripps Networks. Prior to Discovery, Mr. Bremer served as CFO International of Dean Foods Company from 1999 to 2007 leading the international expansion of a $10 billion CPG business, and as a consultant for Bain & Company from 1996 to 1999.

Mr. Bremer holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from Grinnell College.

As Chief People Officer, Ms. Barry has global responsibilities for leading overall human resources strategy and its alignment to key business initiatives. Ms. Barry also oversees the PTI WINGS Foundation.

Ms. Barry previously served as the Chief Human Resource Officer at Design Within Reach, a Herman Miller Company, for ten years and spent time on the front line overseeing and executing integration and M&As, showcasing her abilities to develop and build human capital that aligned brands for tremendous growth, scale and success. She carries with her extensive experience in talent acquisition, organizational development, change management, and leadership strategy. Prior to Design Within Reach, Ms. Barry served in various Human Resources leadership roles at Vertrue, AVON Products and Bally of Switzerland. Ms. Barry is a Board Member of Quorum FCU and serves as Vice Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Governance Committee and member of the Executive Compensation Committee.

Ms. Barry holds a Master of Science in Adult Education and Human Resources Development and a Bachelor of Arts, both from Fordham University. Additionally, Ms. Barry is certified through SHRM and holds Executive Leadership Certifications from the Higher Ambition Leadership Institute and Yale School of Management.

Mr Datta joined Phoenix Tower International with extensive experience in driving scale and delivering real business transformation within the digital infrastructure ecosystem. Prior to PTI, Mr. Datta held many senior operating, commercial and technology roles including as the Chief Operating Officer of AboveNet Communications, a market-leading US-based  fiber services company and as Chief Technology Officer of the data/IP network for Reliance JIO, one of the largest MNOs in the world based in India.  Most recently Mr. Datta was Chief Operating Officer at Colt Technology Services, a significant UK based data services provider and fiber operator with over 3,000 employees operating globally across Europe, Asia and the United States.

Mr. Travaglia oversees the overall accounting functions with a global team of accounting professionals maintaining day-to-day financial operations, issuance of financial reports, management of ledgers, financial accounts, and internal controls.

Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Travaglia. worked at Amazon Web Services as Sr. Manager of Partner Core Operations. Prior to AWS,  he served as CFO for tower company Andean Tower Partners, leading the sale of the business and integration from Torres Unidas to Digital Bridge.  Prior to ATP,  Mr. Travaglia had several positions in controllership and finance at Apple Inc. with focus on the Latin American region contributing with the expansion into Chile and Colombia. Mr. Travaglia started his career at Baxter Healthcare International with positions of increasing responsibility such as Argentina Country Controller, Mexico Director of Finance, Director of Internal Control and Global Reporting and Consolidations.

Mr. Travaglia graduated from the University of Rio Cuarto, Argentina with degree of National Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from University of St. Thomas, MN. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia and Florida.

Senior Vice President of Operations, Development and Information Technology Systems

Mr. Moras oversees the operations of Phoenix Tower International’s assets across the United States, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. He is responsible for new site development, site maintenance, regulatory compliance, vendor management, engineering services and implementation of process and cost optimizing programs. He is also responsible for the IT needs of the company, including implementation of Siterra and Microsoft AX. In addition to other key corporate initiatives, Mr. Moras supports the sales and leasing team with collocations and the M&A process by overseeing physical due diligence.

Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Moras was a principal with Morrison Hershfield Corporation (MHC) and the director of operations for the telecommunications division. In this role he was charged with the operational and financial management of a team of 75+ engineers, architects, project managers, construction managers, CAD designers, and support staff located in six offices engaged in the design and construction of wireless infrastructure facilities. Mr. Moras was responsible for the development of processes and resources, management of existing customers, and generation of new business. With over 14 years in the telecommunications industry, his knowledge ranges from tower engineering, cell site design, and construction management to project and program management. He has extensive experience providing technical due diligence services for acquisitions and acted as Morrison Hershfield’s lead technical advisor for several initiatives involving projects in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.

Mr. Moras graduated from McGill University and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering as well as a master’s degree in structural engineering.

Scott Lewis

Vice President of Next Generation Solutions

As the Vice President of Next Generation Solutions, Mr. Lewis oversees PTI’s line of business focused on in-building DAS, outdoor DAS and small cell connectivity, edge data centers and enterprise private networks to support the next generation of wireless.

 

Mr. Lewis previously led commercial sales for the wireless business at Corning optical communications from 2018 to 2021 where he contributed to launching in-building 5G solutions for two major mobile network operators. Prior to Corning, Mr. Lewis served in leadership roles in wireless infrastructure firms, including American Tower Corporation where he served in various management functions from 2001 to 2007 and again as the head of wireless engineering and deployment function from 2011 to 2016. At American Tower Mr. Lewis contributed to the rapid expansion of DAS and fiber optic networks during the launch of 4G in the United States.

Mr. Lewis holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cornell University.

Vice President of Corporate Development

As VP Corporate Development for Phoenix Tower International, Mr Duntze is responsible for leading growth and business development initiatives at Phoenix Tower International across all geographies.

Before joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Duntze was CFO of Hivory, SFR’s tower carve out in France. He lead the creation of that entity as a greenfield tower company with 10k sites fully autonomous from its Anchor MNO (who remained a shareholder). He lead the overall process of equity investment in the company by KKR and ultimately the disposal of Hivory to Cellnex end of 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Duntze was head of Corporate Development in SFR, B2B Sales operations manager for Altice Holding Company and other positions in Finance, Consulting.

Charles has an Engineering Degree from ENST Telecom Paris in France.

Prior to joining PTI, Miguel spent the last six years as general counsel, chief legal officer, head of compliance and secretary to the board for Telxius, a global digital telecommunications infrastructure operator. Before Telxius, he spent eight years as head of the M&A, commercial and financing of the legal department of the Telefónica Group, S.A and five years as director of legal affairs – mergers & acquisitions for Telefónica Móviles. Before moving in-house, he was an associate with both Allen&Overy and CMS Spain.

General Counsel, US, Mergers & Acquisitions and Financing

As the United States General Counsel of Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Wade manages the legal and asset management aspects of the US business and other corporate governance and related administrative tasks for the Company.

Prior to serving as US General Counsel to Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Wade served as General Counsel to Wireless Capital Partners (“WCP”), a national wireless lease and tower aggregator, as well as a real estate lawyer in the Los Angeles and New York City offices of the law firm, Duval & Stachenfeld LLP (“D&S”), which is one of the largest transactional real estate law groups in New York City.

While at WCP, Mr. Wade was responsible for managing the legal and diligence portions of wireless leasing buy-outs, ultimately overseeing the diligence, acquisition, and asset management of hundreds of wireless lease buy-outs as well as overseeing the sale of two portfolios originated by WCP and other aspects of corporate governance. While at D&S, Mr. Wade represented large private equity groups in connection with their commercial real estate investments (including office, multi-family and hotels/resorts) as well as high-end retailers in connection with their retail leasing negotiations within large urban areas such as Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Las Vegas.

Mr. Wade holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from Western Michigan University, as well as a J.D. degree from Southwestern University in Los Angeles, where he served as a member of the Southwestern University Law Review. Mr. Wade is admitted to practice law in the State of California.

As the Director of Finance, Mr. Timms oversees Phoenix Tower International’s treasury activities, financial planning, financial analysis, and finance operations across the US, Caribbean, and Latin America. His responsibilities include providing financial counsel to PTI leadership to maximize revenues and operating cash flows, building long term value and ensuring business strategies are executed effectively.

Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Timms worked at Itaú Unibanco, the largest non-state controlled financial institution in Latin America, where he most recently led the corporate finance and FP&A team in New York, and previously was a Portfolio Specialist for the asset management group in São Paulo.  He also held the position of Senior Strategic Planning Analyst for Companhia Nacional de Açúcar e Álcool, a private equity venture in the sugar and ethanol sector in Brazil that was sold to BP Biofuels for $680 million.  Andrew began his career as an M&A Analyst for Energias Renováveis SA, also a private equity venture.

Mr. Timms graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Latin American Studies.  He is also a CFA charter holder.

Mr. Sullivan oversees Global land and rooftop right acquisitions, including negotiation, diligence, closing and recordation. In these cases, Phoenix Tower International acquires the right to revenue formerly paid by major wireless operators to land or building owners. Mr. Sullivan also leads PTI’s multi-national land acquisition program throughout the Americas and Europe, including strategy, negotiation segregation sales efforts and marketing, interpretation of regional laws and regulations, process management, closings, and integration.

Prior to his appointment at Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Sullivan specialized in new market penetration and sales. Throughout his career, he has sold a variety of specialty products and services across the United States and Latin America and worked closely with U.S. federal and state agencies (FDA, USDA, OSHA) to implement regulations and processes in the industrial food and beverage production and food safety industries.

Mr. Sullivan is a graduate of Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sales and marketing. He is currently based in Boca Raton, Florida.

Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Ms. Morales worked at The Bank of Nova Scotia, a leading financial institution in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific. She held multiple positions within the Global Banking and Markets and International Banking divisions, and most recently worked as Associate Director on the Global Loan Syndications team assisting Latin American corporates in the structuring, underwriting and distribution of bank market loans. Ms. Morales began her career as an Equity Research Analyst for one of the top five investment banks in the U.S.

Ms. Morales graduated with honors from the University of Costa Rica with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Mrs. Hurd has more than 20 years of commercial and corporate real estate experience. Prior to joining PTI, Mrs. Hurd provided advisory services to mid-size organizations through the various stages of the commercial real estate lifecycle. In addition, Mrs. Hurd has held strategic position in corporate and commercial real estate within DHL International, CBRE Group, and Office Depot.

Mrs. Hurd graduated from Miami Dade College with a degree in Business Administration.

As the Director of Information Technology, Mr. Campos oversees all aspects of PTI’s technology strategy, including core business applications, infrastructure, development, and telecommunications.

Mr. Campos brings over fifteen years of experience in the field of information technology. Before joining PTI, Mr. Campos held the position of Senior Global Information Technology Manager at Millicom International, where he was responsible for the organization’s productivity tools, security and IT infrastructure, along with the implementation of large projects such as transforming the company’s IT support culture to a self-service oriented culture, cloud technology implementation including the migration of datacenters, creating business intelligence platforms and the development of robotic automation processes.  Mr. Campos has also held senior positions at Ricoh Latin America where he was focused on business transformation, Enterprise Resource Management systems, and he led the Information Security Management ISO 27001 certification.

Mr. Campos graduated from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

As the Director of Tax, Mr. Cadar oversees Phoenix Tower International’s tax strategy, structuring, and compliance, as well as supports deals and other M&A activities across the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. His responsibilities include providing tax counsel to PTI’s leadership to optimize tax efficiency and comply with filings, building long-term value and ensuring effective tax compliance in line with the execution of business strategies.

Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Cadar worked at Yamana Gold, a Canadian-based precious metals producer with significant production, development, exploration properties, and land positions throughout the Americas, where he was the Director of Tax in their Toronto headquarters. He also held the position of Tax Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and he began his career as a Tax Analyst at Globo Network, the largest commercial media conglomerate in Latin America and the second-largest commercial TV network in the world.  

Mr. Cadar earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from the Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais in Rio De Janeiro, and specializations in Transfer Pricing and International Tax from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in Toronto.

As the Director of Tower Development, Mr. Tude oversees PTI’s tower development in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

Mr. Tude brings over twenty years of experience in project management of telecommunication implementation, including strategic planning, quality assurance, and increasing of growth and profitability in global companies. Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Tude worked at Peony Tech as the Managing Director and provided consulting services for telecommunication companies. Mr. Tude also served as the Vice President, Latin America, of Blue Skies Networks, an American telecommunication company that provides satellite and communication solutions, where he led company operations and was responsible for positioning the company as a main supplier for clients in the U.S. and South America.

Mr. Tude earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master of Business Administration from the Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais in Rio De Janeiro.

Mr. Gechtman oversees all day-to-day operations of PTI’s U.S. customer leasing and drives the Sales Department’s strategic business plan across the nation.  Mr. Gechtman is also President of SectorSite, a PTI company, and full service telecommunications services provider.    

Mr. Gechtman has over 20 years of experience in the build-out and development of wireless infrastructure and has expertise from site acquisition and land development to the integration and commissioning of sites on air.  Mr. Gechtman brings skills and resources including contract negotiation, construction management, land development, and project management.  Prior to joining Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Gechtman, was the Founder/Owner and President of SectorSite, LLC, a national communications site development company with a specialization in the development of full-turnkey site development and deployment of all major technologies.

Michelle Brea serves as the Company’s General Counsel, Latin America & Caribbean, Legal Operations. In this capacity, Mrs. Brea oversees PTI’s relationship with third party property owners who own land that PTI’s towers are situated on, with a focus creating an alliance with such landlords that facilitates the ongoing operation of PTI’s towers across Latin America and ensuring PTI’s landlord relationships are strong. Mrs. Brea is also responsible for oversight of all legal aspects of PTI’s business operations in the Dominican Republic.

Mrs. Brea has more than 12 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. Prior to joining PTI, Mrs. Brea was Legal Manager for Tricom, S.A., one of the largest telecommunications companies in the Dominican Republic, and has held several positions at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and other Financial Institutions prior to that.

Mrs. Brea graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) with a doctorate in Law, and completed a Master in Corporate and Economic Law, in the Dominican Republic.

As the Director of Sales for Latin America, Mr. Figueroa oversees the PTI’s Sales initiatives, leasing, and customer relationships across Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Mr. Figueroa has more than 25 years of telecommunications and information technology experience.  Prior to joining PTI, Mr. Figueroa held various senior positions within Siemens and Nokia, including Vice President for Enterprise in North America, Head of Market Development and Vice President of Sales for Local Operators in Latin America.  Mr. Figueroa’s extensive experience gives him a deep understanding of customer needs, customer focus, and knowledge of the complete value chain of the wireless and wireline telecommunication infrastructure business.

Mr. Figueroa earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of São Paulo in Brazil.

As the Director of Operations for Latin America, Mr. Sanchez oversees the operation of Phoenix Tower International’s assets across Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. He is responsible for the structural engineering integrity of the assets, site maintenance, access, security, vendor and cost management.

Mr. Sanchez has 25 years of telecommunications and tower infrastructure experience with expertise in site acquisition, permitting, power, Build-To-Suit deployment, collocations, maintenance, structural engineering and due diligence. Prior to joining PTI, Mr. Sanchez was Director of the Shared Service Center Operations for Latin America at American Tower Corporation and held several positions at IUSACELL and NEXTEL in Mexico.

Mr. Sanchez holds a bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering and master’s degree in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.

As Senior Director of Operations in Europe, Mr. Long has direct management and overseas strategic operations of Phoenix Tower International across Europe. He is responsible for day-to-day oversight on all operational aspects of the tower and network assets in the company’s European markets including site development, site maintenance, access and safety, regulatory compliance, vendor selection and management, structural integrity and engineering services, operating processes, budget and cost management, and efficiency and optimization programs. He performance manages our teams and supports developing our talent. In addition, he supports our regional sales, leasing, and assets teams in driving customer service excellence with market-leading cycle times, and provides M&A assistance for new market entry and new portfolio acquisitions.

Mr. Long is a seasoned leader who came to Phoenix Towers International with over 21 years of experience, knowledge, and passion across disciplines and leadership roles developing, operating, and managing shared communication infrastructure and their teams.

Before joining Phoenix Towers International, Mr. Long spent 12 years at American Towers Corporation holding various operationally focussed leadership roles, supporting business operations and growth across Africa and Europe. Latterly, as Vice President of European Operations he led regional efforts to review and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations across France, Germany, Spain, and Poland with over 30,000 sites and more than 500 employees. He developed BPM strategy, identified best practices, implemented standardization, continually identified ways to optimize costs, reduce cycle times, systems innovation and automation, regional environment and sustainability, M&A and new market start-up and portfolio integration. Mr, Long was a member of the European Management team and international integration team for France, Ghana, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Tanzania, and during his tenure, held the role of leading an international multi-cultural multi-language team integrating the largest portfolio acquisition in their company's history culminating in Team of the Year award. Before American Tower, Mr. Long was Managing Director of a communications infrastructure service company providing a wide range of communications infrastructure services to mobile phone companies across Europe including, new site acquisition; landlord relations; site management; sites development; program management; regulatory building and environmental permitting; third-party vendor management; managing collocation applications and developing advanced workflow reporting.

As Senior Director of Human Resources for Europe, Sarah Cullen oversees talent acquisition, training, engagement, benefits and compensation, employee relations, and employment law compliance across all markets within Europe. In addition to the full life cycle with HR, Ms. Cullen supports the Global Wings initiatives and partners with our local communities to uphold the core company values.

Prior to joining PTI, Ms. Cullen had extensive experience providing guidance and support within startup organizations in the IT security and software industries, building employer brands and enabling organizations to scale while creating their people strategy. Ms. Cullen is a commercially focused HR professional with a keen passion for marrying the business objectives to the people strategy to enable high performing teams. She brings experience across all functional areas of Human Resources, with specialization in team building, performance coaching, employee development & engagement, and employment law compliance.

As Director of Sales, Mr. Tricarico is responsible for PTI’s sales operations across all European markets. Mr. Tricarico brings over twenty years of experience of Telecommunications Sales to the main European Telco Operators and Broadcasters, leading the sales in the EMEA region and, recently, for one of the major Tower Companies. He has been successfully involved in the start-up and development of markets and customers, in the identification of new opportunities to increase turnover and search for new prospects, as well as in the coordination and development of the sales team.  Cadet at the military academy of Modena, he got a Master Degree in Computer Science at the University of Turin. He spent more than twelve years serving the Italian Army as Officer in Command, in UN and NATO missions abroad.

As head of Finance Europe, JS Falisse oversees strategic planning, financial processes and reporting, accounting, tax and treasury for PTI’s European markets.

An Accountant by training, Mr. Falisse previously held several lead accounting and finance positions at Discovery Inc. from 2008 to 2021, including SVP Corporate Finance, Transformation Finance Officer, CFO Eurosport, and Global Controller.

During his tenure he coordinated the $15 billion acquisition and integration of Scripps Networks and the resulting company transformation program of over $3 billion, participated to the acquisition and integrated over $1 billion nonfiction and sport television networks in Europe, created and led a 250-employee global accounting organization and processes.  Prior to Discovery, JS served as CFO of Orange group in the Americas, merging global telecommunications service providers in 225 countries, and as a consultant for PwC.

Ms. Vignapiano previously held several executive positions at Jones Lang LaSalle from 2016 to 2021, including Head of Legal and Compliance, Executive Member of the Board of Directors and of the Management Committee in the various group’s companies. She previously worked in international Law Firms both in Milan and New York. Ms. Vignapiano holds a master’s degree in law from the University Federico II of Naples and a Master of Business Administration from Milan University’s Politecnico School of Management.
